KANE is proud to support organizations working to strengthen our communities and believe it is their responsibility to share their success and to give back to what will be the foundation for future generations. The KANE mission is to promote values of honesty, integrity, reliability, and commitment through monetary donations, active participation, and the organization of charitable events.

Our Lady of Good Counsel High School: The Kane Center
The Kane Center is a 20,000 square foot gymnasium servicing a student body of 1,200 at a private catholic co-educational high school for all their year round indoor activities. Click here to view the Kane Center.

Catholic University: Kane Fitness Center
The Kane Fitness Center serves the students of Catholic University housing 7,000 square feet of state of the art equipment including: Precor Cardiovascular machines, a complete circuit of Nautilus weight machines, and free weight equipment. Click here to view the Kane Fitness Center.

Catholic Charities: Catholic Charities Golf Classic
The field at the Catholic Charity Golf Classic competes for the Eugene I. Kane Cup. Annually this event raises more than $150,000 to serve individuals and families in need who seek assistance from the Montgomery County Family Center. Click here to view the Kane Cup Trophy.

Mount St. Mary's University: Kane Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes
The Kane Chapel is home to Mount St. Mary’s University. The school was founded in 1808 and The Kane Chapel is located at the center of the Main Campus. The school is a traditional undergraduate Division I University located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The Kane Chapel of Our Lady of Lourdes was dedicated by the nine Kane family members in memory of their parents, Jane and Eugene Kane. Today the Chapel is used for daily Mass and is a focal point for campus ministry.

ING New York City Marathon
In 2011 the official charity program was made up of over 200 charities who raised a record of over $34 million dollars for many different worthy causes. Two great examples of worthy causes are: “Fred's Team” making a difference in the fight against cancer. Since 1995, Fred's Team has raised more than $46 million for cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.. Another great cause is “Team for Kids” allowing free or low-cost school- and community-center based health and fitness programs to children who would otherwise have little to no access to regular physical activity.

John Hopkins’s Medicine – A Women’s Journey
A Woman's Journey, The Johns Hopkins Medicine annual women's health conference, provides new and compelling information about important issues affecting women's health. From nutrition and improving your memory to heart disease and cancer, this one-day program offers many seminars, all taught by Johns Hopkins physicians.

Jewish Federation of Greater Washington
The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington brings people and financial resources together to care for those in need, and deepen the engagement in Jewish life and strengthen Jewish identity in Israel and around the world.

Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International
The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington brings people and financial resources together to care for those in need, and deepen the engagement in Jewish life and strengthen Jewish identity in Israel and around the world.

Race For Hope DC
The Race for Hope DC, a 5K course in the nation's capital. The race for Hope raises funds to fight against brain tumors for and create worthy research. It is one of the largest fundraisers in the country benefiting the brain tumor community and the proceeds support National Brain Tumor Society and Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure. The Race for Hope - DC has raised more than $15 million in its history.

Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
Susan G. Komen Global Race for the Cure® in Washington, D.C., raised $4.5 million for breast health education and outreach programs – the largest single-year investment in the history of the local event.

Catholic Coalitions for Special Education
The mission of the Catholic Coalition for Special Education is to ensure that children with special needs are able to attend, and receive an appropriate education in their local Catholic elementary schools and high schools. CCSE provides grants and technical assistance to help Catholic schools in Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

Sister Cities International
Sister Cities International (SCI) creates relationships based on cultural, educational, information and trade exchanges, creating lifelong friendships that provide prosperity and peace through person-to-person citizen diplomacy. SCI dedicates a special focus on areas with significant opportunities for cultural and educational exchanges, economic partnerships, and humanitarian assistance.
Mary Kane, CEO & President of Cities International, said just recently, “for 56 years we have fostered and empowered a global citizen diplomacy network, spreading peace through people. …we impact everyday citizens in bringing the world closer.”

Mercy Health Clinic
The Mercy Health Clinic is a free, not-for-profit, non-sectarian, community based primary health care provider serving uninsured, low-income adult residents of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Clinic, with more than 150 dedicated volunteers, is committed to continually seek ways to improve and expand the quality primary medical care, educational support and pharmaceuticals it provides free of charge to eligible patients.

The Order of Malta, Federal Association
Malta has a presence in fifty-five countries - through six Grand Priories, six Sub-Priories and forty-seven National Associations - the Sovereign Order of Malta is dedicated to the care of the sick and the poor. The mission of the Order is carried out through the efforts of 13,000 Knights and Dames of Malta, 80,000 volunteers, and 15,000 doctors, nurses and health care professionals, in more than 200 hospitals, medical centers, emergency relief, and an ambulance corps that provide aid for at least seven million people in 120 countries worldwide, most significantly through Maltese International.

USO
Millions of times each year at hundreds of locations around the world, the USO lifts the spirits of America’s troops and their families. A nonprofit, congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations and corporations to support its activities. The USO is not part of the U.S. government, but is recognized by the Department of Defense.
